Diane Tardif was 15 years old when she was murdered in August of 1973. She was raped, hit on the head with a blunt object and then strangled. Her body was found on August 24, 1973 in a bush along the road about 10 miles east of Sept-Îles. Diane had been living in Sept-Îles for only a few weeks.
