On August 23, 2011, on the first day of school, Valérie Leblanc was found mutilated, burnt, partially naked and abandoned in a wooded area behind the Cégep de l’Outaouais. The police is still looking for an important witness who was allegedly seen on campus on the day of the crime. He was then 20-35 years old, about 6-ft. tall, and weighed approximately 200 lbs. He had dark hair and no facial hair that day, and was seen walking beside a black mountain or hybrid bike. He also spoke French without an accent.
