On September 20, 2007, Marc Cummings, a 52-year-old single father, was beaten to death at his hunting camp, in Cawood, south of Maniwaki. He was found five days later without his wallet, jewelry and keys.
He left a note at home to inform his son that he had left with “Roger”, one of his acquaintances. However, he was never seen alive again.
