Robin Simard, 15, was killed by a .22 caliber rifle on August 28, 1979 around 10 p.m. at his parents’ residence in Delson, a suburb of Montreal. Robin was alone at home that night, because his parents were visiting friends down the street. The young man is said to have come out of his residence shouting “help me, help me, I am going to die”. A neighbor helped him, but the child died about 10 hours later at the hospital, on August 29th.
Robin was able to tell the police that two hooded guys fired in his direction during an attempted robbery. Nothing was stolen from the residence.
