On May 30, 1973, Françoise Guilbault left her home on Précieux Sang road, in Joliette. She reportedly left a note for her husband telling him to take care of the children, and would then have bought a bus ticket to go to Montreal. Her disappearance was reported on June 1, 1973 by her husband. She was seen on December 27, 1973, at the Eaton store in Montreal, by an acquaintance of hers that she would have contacted. She was never seen or heard from again. She was 31 years old at the time of her disappearance.
