Renée Simard, living on Étienne-Gagnon Street in Matane, would have been seen near the McDonald’s Restaurant around 2 p.m. on March 25, 1995.
Renée Simard left the family home mentioning going for a walk, without work, she rarely left the house for long periods, she absolutely had to take medicine every day, the family feared for her life at the time of her disappearance.
Coming from a large family of 14 children, her parents feared that it had fallen into the water in the area of the Old Port nearby.
Renée’s father and brother surveyed several areas in vain. The family said it was unlikely that she would have gotten into a car. According to the family, the disappearance of Renée would be accidental.
