Yohanna was 18 months old when she disappeared in suspicious circumstances from Ville St-Laurent, in Montreal, on August 15th, 1978. Her mother left her in the care of her partner, Aaron Lewis. She disappeared while under his supervision. He was questioned by police, and although his version of the events frequently changed, he was never charged because of lack of evidence.
In 2014, a search was conducted in a parking lot of Ville St-Laurent, in the hopes of retrieving a metallic box. Unfortunately, nothing was found.
In 2016, a woman contacted Yohanna’s mother, believing she was in fact Yohanna. DNA tests revealed she was not Yohanna.
In 2020, a poster with Yohanna’s picture will be installed on a transport truck of Gilmyr Transports that will travel throughout Canada, in the hope of getting information on her disappearance.
The mother’s partner, Aaron Lewis, an American, remains the principal suspect in Yohanna’s disappearance. He initially said he had left her in his parents’ care in Boston and later that she drowned his bath.
