Often in the shadows, but always present.

At Meurtres et Disparitions Irrésolus du Québec , our mission sometimes goes beyond what the eyes can see. We work discreetly to resolve complex, sometimes painful situations that deeply affect families.

Recently, a family consumed by worry entrusted us with the mandate to find a loved one who had been missing for too long. An adult who, according to the law, has the right to disappear and not give any news. Despite this choice, the pain of absence is very real for those who remain.

Thanks to careful and respectful work, our investigators were able to find this person. In this specific case, they had to respect his choice not to reconnect with his loved ones, a difficult decision to accept for a family and loved ones who love him and who miss him terribly.

There are stories that don’t always end the way we hope, but they remind us that everyone has rights, including the right to withdraw from public life. At Meurtres et Disparitions Irrésolus du Québec , we do everything to respond to the missing adult warrant with compassion, discretion and respect, and to offer, as much as possible, answers to families who are searching.

Thank you for trusting us to carry out such human and essential missions.
