Benoit Lachance was last seen on September 3, 1996. He was leaving his home in Pointe-aux-Trembles on his motorcycle, possibly heading toward Le Gardeur. His family reported him missing several weeks later, on September 26, 1996.
A member of the Rowdy Crew motorcycle group — a support club associated with the Hells Angels — Benoit Lachance regularly visited their clubhouse in Le Gardeur. His motorcycle was found there after his disappearance.
According to the information gathered, he then reportedly got into a blue Chevrolet Camaro belonging to his girlfriend. She reported the vehicle stolen on September 17, 1996.
At the time of his disappearance, Benoit Lachance was 25 years old.
