Madame Therrien left her residence in Lachine in October 2007 with her personal belongings, according to statements from her partner at the time, Mr. Sylvain Gravel. He is believed to be the last person to have seen her and reported having no information about her destination.
At the time of her disappearance, Ms. Therrien was 58 years old. Her son, Danny Tremblay, who lived in the Saguenay region, attempted to contact her several times. After having no news from her for approximately six months, the disappearance was finally reported on May 27, 2008.
Information suggests that her bank card may have been used a few times at the Montreal Casino during that period.
