Chantal was last seen at the bar “Le Cocktail,” a well-known establishment in Saint-Jérôme, on what until then seemed an entirely ordinary evening. That evening, she called her mother to ask if she could come pick her up. Unfortunately, her mother was several kilometers away in Montreal at the time and was unable to return her daughter’s call.
There has been no trace of Chantal since. The 35-year-old woman was never seen again, leaving behind a family in distress and many unanswered questions. Of petite stature, Chantal was only 4 feet tall (approximately 1.22 meters) and weighed approximately 95 pounds (43 kg) at the time of her disappearance. She had brown eyes and brown hair, and bore the marks of a difficult life, notably the absence of several teeth. According to eyewitness accounts, she may have been wearing a pale beige fur coat, a detail that might seem insignificant, but remains one of the few known visual elements from that evening.
The mystery surrounding her disappearance remains unsolved. Was it a runaway, a kidnapping, or a tragedy that unfolded in the shadows, out of sight? To date, no leads have shed light on what really happened after her call.
A $10,000 reward is still being offered to anyone who can provide reliable information leading to the locator of Chantal, whether she is alive or deceased. For her family, any information, no matter how small, could finally shed light on the truth.
