The family is still searching
On August 22, 1996, a passer by sadly made a gruesome discovery. The body of Mr. Jacques Gendron was found riddled with five bullets in his car, still running, in a sandpit on Kanasuta Lake Road, a few kilometers from Rouyn-Noranda.
Even though the incident occurred almost 30 years ago, it must still be fresh in the public’s memory, as the crime scene had been closed for several days due to a bomb found near the victim.

This father, grandfather, and partner of 54 years led a very full life and was known to the local community, notably as the owner of the Aphrodite bar, but also for his passion for country music, being a singer-songwriter himself.
Mr. Gendron’s family is still searching for answers. No information is trivial, because “the trivial can sometimes lead to great things.”
