On November 01st, 1984, 8-year-old Sébastien Métivier went missing from the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve area in Montreal. He left home with his friend, Wilton Lubin, 12 years old, who also went missing the same evening. Sébastien’s body was never recovered, but Wilton’ body was found on December 02nd, 1984 on the shore of the St-Laurent seaway, near Charron Island.
Sébastien’s family has remained very active all these years in the hope of solving this case.
An organization was founded to provide support to families who’ve experienced a similar situation:
In the Spring of 2018, Meurtres et Disparitions Irrésolus du Québec created a poster with Sébastien’s picture and installed it on a transport truck of Procam International Transport in Laval, Québec. Another poster was installed a truck at Transport Gilmyr. These posters travel thousands of kilometers throughout Canada and allow visibility for cold case victims.
