Nathalie Champigny was last seen on February 22, 1992 while having dinner with her boyfriend at the Auberge Knowlton restaurant in Lac-Brome. The 21-year-old wanted to end her relationship with Kelly Whittier. Since that evening, no one has ever seen her again.
First considered as a fugue, the investigation did not evolve as quickly as the Champigny family would have hoped.
Kelly Whittier, the main suspect in this disappearance had been met by the police for the first time on March 14, 1992. Arrested, then charged, he was released and the charges against him were dropped. He remains the only suspect to this day.
