Nadia Lantin, 51, disappeared around 5 p.m. on September 22 after leaving her job at the IGA on René-Lévesque Boulevard West in Chandler, a job she had had for three weeks. She was then supposed to go to Newport at her mother’s house around 5:15 p.m. to bring her food, but Nadia never made it. Her family tried to reach her between 6 and 8 p.m. and an emergency call was placed around 10 p.m.
Her vehicle was located the next day, stuck in a snowmobile trail in the ZEC des Anses, about 8 kilometers from Route 132. Unfortunately, the vehicle and the geolocation of Nadia’s cell phone did not bring any clues to the investigation.
Searches on foot, with ATVs, in watercraft and by helicopter were carried out in order to find Nadia. Also, a command post was erected and the canine squad and a drone participated in the search. The sector is a vast, dense and wooded territory, including dozens of lakes. Nadia’s family does not understand why she would have gone there: she was not a person who enjoyed the woods and would not have ventured there alone.
Nadia is 1.60 m (5 ft 4 in) tall and has brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she weighed 160 lbs (73 kg), had shoulder length black hair and was wearing her work uniform (IGA supermarket).
